Our high-energy SuperSessions offer the renewal you need to enhance your love for nursing and be inspired to share it with others. Here's a preview of this week's exciting SuperSessions.
On Monday, we kick off our week together in true New Orleans style with a brass band and Mardi Gras revelers. AACN President Jennifer Adamski will share insights and experiences from her presidential year, building on the AACN theme "Courage to Soar."
Monday's keynote speaker is Suleika Jaouad, an Emmy Award-winning journalist, author, artist and advocate. A warm, funny and passionate speaker, Jaouad will talk about being diagnosed with leukemia at just 22, what it means to be healthy and well in the 21st century and how to thrive in the wake of life's unexpected interruptions.
Sara Grieshop, AACN practice excellence supervisor will join her on stage to guide the conversation. Together, they'll explore the parallels between Jaouad's journey and the daily realities nurses face — highlighting how courage, empathy and deep resilience can shape our experiences and drive us toward meaningful connections.
The fun continues Wednesday morning when AACN President-elect Rebekah Marsh unveils the new AACN theme for the coming year.
Closing out the final SuperSession of NTI 2025 is keynote speaker Pooja Lakshmin, a board-certified psychiatrist, best-selling author of "Real Self-Care: Crystals, Cleanses, and Bubble Baths Not Included" and a contributor to The New York Times. In her keynote address, . Lakshmin will discuss her Four Principles of Real Self-Care — Boundaries, Compassion, Values and Power — using evidence-based tools, compelling storytelling and a dose of humor.
